Opening Ceremonies
Campbell University to Host World Series Opening Ceremony.
This year’s opening ceremony will be held at Barker Lane Stadium on Campbell University’s main campus in Buies Creek, NC. Campbell is excited to welcome each player, coach, and family to their beautiful campus for this event. The opening ceremony will start with players and coaches arriving at 4:30 PM and will conclude with a parachute demonstration performed by the Golden Knights, the US Army’s Parachute Team.

CLEAR BAG POLICY:
Campbell University has a clear bag policy for all events held on campus. Please refer to their website for detailed requirements.

Tonight’s Meal
Players and Coaches will be provided boxed meals from Zaxby’s. Players are encouraged to exchange their state pins with players from other states after finishing their meals.
Parents and Families will be provided with multiple food truck options to enjoy prior to the kick-off of the opening ceremony.

Brian Foster is a teacher at Triton High School in Harnett County. Brian is a high-energy speaker and will make sure that tonight’s ceremony is one you will not forget.

Senator Jim Burgin
Jim Burgin currently serves as District 12’s state senator and has been instrumental in ensuring that all students have access to play sports at a high school level even if they are enrolled in homeschool, or a private school that does not have an athletic program. We are grateful for his contribution to youth athletics and are happy to have him with us tonight.

Beth Elmore serves as Principal at Planview Elementary in Plainview, NC. She has been our guest speaker for the DYB church services over the years and is looking forward to seeing you all again this years’ service.

We are thrilled to welcome the Harnett County EMS Color Guard to present our nation’s colors this year. The color guard is made up of local first responders from our area and they recognize the sincerity of displaying the colors with honor.

Mia is one of many talented individuals from our city. She sings regularly at First Presbyterian Church in Dunn. Mia’s vocal abilities are sure to knock your socks off while honoring our beloved country.

Mayor William Elmore
William Elmore was elected Mayor of Dunn in 2019 and is currently serving in his second term as mayor. He knows the importance of a small town feeling like family and is extremely happy to have you in town this week to experience the family atmosphere we have established.

William Wade serves at the Commissioner of Diamond Youth Baseball. He has met tirelessly with the State Directors and National Directors to ensure this event goes down as one of the best yet.

US Army Parachute Team
The Golden Knights are the US Army’s Parachute Team and they travel around the United States and the world to perform aerial displays for events like this and many others. Look to the skies and admire the talents of these adrenaline junkies as they soar through sky at speed up to 120 miles per hour.
